Wannes Vanderhoeven
Wannes teaches Practical Harmony, Harmony, Arrangement and Composition at our school.
Wannes Vanderhoeven studied harmony, practical harmony, contrapunt, music analysis, piano and organ. He is specialized in the performance of literature for the harmonium.
He has realized several interdisciplinary projects around the organ, including collaborations with singers, actors and dancers. He specializes in the performance of 19th-century harmonium literature and regularly works as a piano accompanist for various dance schools.
In the period 1990-1994, he took carillon lessons at the Royal Carillon School and regularly played the historical carillon of St. Geertrude's Church in Leuven.
He regularly collaborates with CICO (Centro Internacional Do Carrilhão e do Orgão) from Portugal where in 2015 he participated in the inauguration of "Carrilhão Lvsitanvs", a mobile carillon.
