Who can attend classes?
- From the age of 8 you can take lessons at the Carillon School "Jef Denyn". No prior musical knowledge is required. Students younger than 15 also receive solfège and piano lessons.
- From the age of 15, you submit a certificate lower degree of a musical education. Don't have a certificate? Then you will take an admission test beforehand.
- Foreign students can take the lessons in an intensive package. In this case, the lessons are bundled into a number of sessions throughout the school year, after agreement with the teachers.
All classes (except. handbell choir and ensemble) will continue individually. Class times are agreed upon at the beginning of the academic year.
To practice carillon, you do not need a keyboard at home. You can come to school at any time to practice on one of our 8 practice keyboards or on one of the 6 pianos.

Discount conditions
- Unemployed entitled to a benefit or their dependants
- People entitled to minimum income support or their dependants
- Attest inkomensgarantie voor ouderen
- Disabled people or their dependants
- Students younger than 18 with another family member already paying for registration
- Students younger than 18 with an additional registration in another academy (DKO)
When you are registered for a music education in another academie (DKO) and you paid the enrollment fee, you don’t have to pay in the carillon school.
Reduced fee is only possible when attested by a correct document, not older than a week (inscription date).
