Specialization degree
The specialization degree offers continuing education for carillonneurs who have obtained the 'Carillonneur' certificate at the end of the 4th grade. Students of the 4th grade who are preparing for studies in higher art education may also register for the specialization degree, after consultation with the management and the teacher.
As of the 2018-2019 school year, the new decree of part-time art education came into effect. This offers to all graduates the opportunity to enroll in one or two specialization years. In these, a choice can be made from the following subjects: carillon playing; improvisation; composition and arrangement. Of course one can also go for the complete package.
Classes can take place on a regular basis with a weekly rhythm or concentrated at a time agreed upon with the teacher. In the specialization degree there are no evaluations and there is no certificate attached to the training. However, at the end of the school year a certificate is issued stating the lessons followed.
