Joey Brink
University carillonist, University of Denver, composer
Joey Brink is University Carillonist and Adjunct Professor of Carillon at the University of Denver, where he performs daily on the 65-bell Williams Carillon and teaches students in the Lamont School of Music. Prior to his move to Denver, he served as University Carillonist at the University of Chicago from 2015 to 2022. In 2014 he won first prize at the International Carillon Competition Queen Fabiola in Belgium. He began his studies with Ellen Dickinson at Yale University, continued with Eddy Marien at the Royal Carillon School in Mechelen (Belgium), and then worked further with Geert D’hollander at Bok Tower Gardens (Florida, USA). He has released two albums for carillon, composed 28 original works for carillon, and published over 40 arrangements for carillon.
