Stefano Colletti

Stefano Colletti (°1973) studied composition, solfege, harmony, orchestration, carillon and piano, and holds as well a degree in musicology.
In 1998 he was admitted to the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Paris and in 2002 he obtained a Diplôme Supérieur d'Ecriture Musicale 'Mention Très Bien', including a First Prize in harmony in the class of Jean Claude Raynaud, a prize in counterpoint 'Mention Très Bien' with unanimous votes in the class of Bernard De Crépy, a prize in fugue in the class of Thierry Eschaich and a prize in orchestration in the class of Denis Cohen.
In 1998, Stefano Colletti was appointed carillonneur of Douai and professor of carillon at the Conservatoire National de Région. Until 2023, he was carillon professor at the Conservatoire de Douai and taught harmony, counterpoint and orchestration at the Conservatoire de Valenciennes. In 2023, Colletti moved to the Indian Ocean and teaches chamber music, analysis and composition at the Conservatoire National de Région de l'île de la Réunion.
In addition to recitals in his native France, he often performs in Belgium, Germany, Spain, the Netherlands, Denmark, Norway, Portugal, England, Ireland, Switzerland and the US.
Stefano Colletti has composed several works for carillon including compositions with string and wind instruments and piano. In 2019, he wrote the compulsory work for the Queen Fabiola competition for chamber carillon and brass ensemble.
From February 2021 to April 2022, Stefano Colletti was composer in residence at Bok Tower Garden (Lake Wales USA). In 2023 he won 2nd prize in the Johan Franco carillon composition competition for "Moonlight in Bok Tower Gardens".
